The Opportunity
IoT is the largest investment and focus area for Silicon Labs and is one of the most visible and fastest growing segments of the semiconductor industry. Our portfolio of industry leading wireless solutions includes Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Wi-Sun, Proprietary Wireless and other emerging technologies driving the next generation of IoT smart connected products.
As a member of the IoT Wireless Technologies team, you will be responsible for the Silicon Labs Bluetooth IoT products. As a technology product manager, you will be responsible for driving the overall Bluetooth strategy and will work within a team to capture requirements, coordinate design, and plan product releases. This position requires frequent interaction with other company departments including embedded software, IP design, App developers, software architects, HW product managers, application engineers, product marketers, and outbound campaign managers.

Essential Functions:
- Work closely with sales/field-application engineers, product marketers, firmware/software engineering, tools engineering, and business leaders to manage a Bluetooth portfolio & roadmap for IOT.
- Gather and distill detailed customer requirements from customers and product marketers; analyze the various trade-offs and drive requirements for HW, SW, Tools and Documentation
- Contribute to the generation of MRDs and PRDs for Bluetooth products.
- Work with project managers to drive the execution of projects through all phases from proof-of-concept to market launch.
Qualifications:
- Education: BSEE/BSCS (or equivalent), advanced degree is a plus
- Experience managing a portfolio & roadmap for IoT Bluetooth Technology including HW, SW and Documentation
- Deep understanding of Bluetooth technology from an application & market applicability
- Proven ability to work successfully at a technical level with cross-functional engineering teams, including hardware and software engineers.
- Evangelist and subject matter expert on Bluetooth Wireless Technologies in internal and external forums, including executive leadership.
- Experience developing business cases for Technology investments working with Business Unit partners
- Familiar with engaging and participating in the Bluetooth SIG
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
