We are currently looking for a Structural Steel Supervisor for our client's upcoming project in Odda, Norway.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- To ensure that all structural steel works are executed in accordance with the project drawings, documents and specifications consistent with applicable procedures and practices.
- Ensuring that structural/building contractors adhere strictly to the latest approved or construction project drawings, specifications, procedures and site instructions
- Routine study check and review all contractors scope as detailed in drawings, specifications and instructions ensuring contractors proper interpretations and compliance with latest revision of drawings and specifications
- Ensuring that contractors activities are carried out in accordance with the approved contractors quality plan
- Ensuring leadership and guidance, that civil contracted works under his control meets all practical commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract targets
- Ensuring that all assigned personnel are instructed in and comply with all the aspects of the HSE policy, site security, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and client requirements
- Discussing the time schedules for the civil and structural steel work based on the construction schedule with the contractors prior to start of the activities,
- Discussing and initiating in cooperation with the structural steel work contractors the assignment of construction personnel,
Requirements:
- Suitable Engineering educational background
- Good knowledge of structural steel works
- Experience in working on the field as a Supervisor
- Ability to organize and prioritize day-to-day activities
- Good communication skills
