The Role
As a dynamic and energetic Manager – Ruco Bar you will assist the Director of Food & Beverage with the efficient running of RuCo Bar in accordance with the established brand standards of Hyatt International’s Corporate Strategy. and ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, aligned with Hyatt’s purpose. You will efficiently deliver a high standard of food and beverage services to our guests and create classic, innovative and creative drinks in line with the guest’s needs and expectations.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times.
- Ensure par stocks are strictly adhered to for all operating equipment, supplies and inventoried items, and to ensure that the outlet is adequately equipped.
- Conduct monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
- Plan the outlet weekly roster and work schedules to ensure that the outlet is adequately staffed to handle the level of business.
- To assist in effective payroll control through a flexible work force maximise utilisation of part time/casual associates and close cooperation with other Food & Beverage outlets.
- Through hands on management, supervise closely all Food and Beverage service associates in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Delegate appropriately, duties and responsibilities to equipped and resourced associates, nurturing and developing them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.
Qualifications
What we are looking for?
- Minimum 2 years work experience as Manager or Assistant Manager in a hotel or large bar.
- A relevant degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- A University Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management specialising in Food and Beverage Management is desirable
- Sound wine, spirit and cocktail knowledge – barista skills are advantageous
- The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
- Only candidates with ongoing, unrestricted working rights for Australia will be considered.
