Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company specializing in discovering, developing, and commercializing prescription medicines. They work alongside leading academic and biotech research institutions to stimulate innovation and evaluate emerging technologies. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and deliver complex software data projects, oversee cross-functional teams, and ensure successful project outcomes. Your role will involve applying Agile Scrum principles, managing project timelines, resources, and budgets, and fostering collaboration and communication within the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development and data management background and extensive Agile Scrum methodology experience.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager focusing on software data projects using Agile Scrum methodology.
- 3+ years of experience with data projects as a Project Manager.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies, with experience leading teams through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Extensive experience in managing software data projects, including data management, data analytics, and software development.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools, such as JIRA, for sprint planning, backlog management, and reporting.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and documentation practices.
- Solid knowledge of data management concepts, including data modeling, integration, ETL processes, and quality assurance.
- Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks, focusing on Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent English communication skills (B2+).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex project challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, focusing on collaboration, motivation, and fostering a positive team culture.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

- Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile certifications) are highly desirable but optional.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end software data projects, utilizing Agile Scrum methodology to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to define project scope, objectives, and priorities.
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective Agile Scrum ceremonies and team collaboration.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including task breakdowns, resource allocations, and sprint backlogs.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as necessary.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data analysts, quality assurance, and business analysts, to drive project execution and deliverables.
- Foster a collaborative and empowered team environment, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to Agile Scrum principles, promoting self-organization, iterative development, and continuous delivery.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocations, and vendor relationships, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and delivering projects within budgetary constraints.
- Apply data management best practices, overseeing data collection, integration, quality assurance, and analysis activities.
- Collaborate with data teams to define data requirements, models, and integration strategies, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members, providing guidance, support, and knowledge transfer.
Will be a plus:
- Experience with data analytics tools and technologies like SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Background in regulatory knowledge, specifically in CLIA, HIPAA, GxP, 21CFR Part 11, computer validation, ISO 9000/9001/17025, and other relevant regulations.
- Experience working with LIMS projects.
- Knowledge of the next regulatory topics:
- CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments);
- HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act);
- GxP (Good Practices) including:
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- GDP (Good Distribution Practices)
- GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)
- 21CFR Part 11 (Part 11 of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations);
- CSV (Computer System Validation);
