Accor is currently looking for a Development Director for Italy, Greece & Malta for our Eco, Midscale & Primium brands to be based in Athens.
The Development Director is responsible for seeking development opportunities for Accor and supporting the Vice President Development in securing the growth of the network. He/She participates in the monitoring of economic, geopolitical and hospitality market development in order to define and adapt the development strategy in accordance with Accor’s global development strategy.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE CONSIST OF?
The main missions are:
Investigate and convert potential new build- Identify main Hotel projects and stakeholders
- Take part to the review the business plans and the initial offers
- Represent Accor during local and international seminars, exhibitions, or events
- Animate the network of current partners
- Organize events for main stakeholders (owners, consultants, management companies) to provide the latest information about the Company and its assets
- Develop close and regular relations with other departments in order to reflect needs and constraints in the Agreements, develop up to date arguments for selling the company brands and its services
- Investigate and convert potential new build opportunities and investment by Accor or partners in new hotel development into real business leads
- Prepare, complete and submit proposals and presentations for new opportunities for management agreements and franchise agreements
- Source, assist and provide support to Accor partners to acquire assets
About you:
- Degree in Business, Hotel, Finance, Real Estate or similar
- Proven experience in Hospitality Development
- Proven experience in the real estate industry (including Hospitality)
- Strong acumen across hospitality industry including brands, companies, investors, news, trends and opportunities
- In depth knowledge of general property markets
- Fluent in Greek and English a third language is a plus
