As part of transportation finance for AMXL-Europe, you will partner with various teams across the entire supply chain including operations, supply chain, retail, procurement, and third party logistics providers and carriers. You will provide insightful guidance via financial decision support, financial modeling, controllership and Think Big cost optimization initiatives. You will also execute high visibility, strategic, cost improvement as well as revenue generating, customer facing projects.
You will leverage your education and work experience to lead initiatives and decide on investments and efficiency initiatives, while pursuing the best customer experience. The role requires an individual who is willing to work in an ambiguous environment and make a big impact. You continuously look for areas of improvement for your work and the business, in order to build scalable long term success.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Operations to plan end-to-end AMXL middle mile financials for short-term and long-term forecasts.
- Develop and maintain key reporting metrics that drive business performance for AMXL Out Of Network pick-ups.
- Partner with Operations, Retail, Transportation planning and Supply Chain teams to drive optimal cross functional decision that maximize Amazon's long term free cash flow.
A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative solutions with large-scale data mining tools, to reduce out of network delivery cost for AMXL. During planning cycles you will be the main Finance POC for end to end financial planning of AMXL middle mile and sortation.
About the team
AMXL, created in September 2018, is Amazon’s End to End Logistics network for Heavy & Bulky products. AMXL is a vertically integrated organization, with ownership of XL product life from inbound placement to the customers doorstep (or living room). You will be part of the AMXL Transportation Finance team responsible for controllership of Delivery operations.

- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results.
