Governance Coordinator [Australia]


 

We currently have an opportunity for a Governance Coordinator to join the team in our People and Performance. As Governance Coordinator you'll get to develop and lead the strategies, policies, standards, and procedures of Council’s Corporate Governance.

  • Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
  • Annual salary from $86,964.80 to $100,094.80 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
  • Plus 10.5% superannuation

What you'll need to be successful in the role...


  • Relevant Degree in Local Government, Business Administration, Risk Management, Law or an equivalent combination of extensive industry experience and education/training relevant to the requirements of the role.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills that promote high team performance with ability to coach, mentor and manage staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with investigation, negotiation, conflict resolution, research, problem solving and influencing skills
  • Highly developed written communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations, conduct meetings, and write technical reports, policies, and procedures, including complex reports and submissions.
  • Developed appreciation of the responsibilities and expectations of providing high quality and impartial advice and services within a political environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
