Job Description
Senior Manager: Operations
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager in the Employee Benefits, retirement and or group risk administration insurance sector. To lead and oversee a team in the group risk administration business unit within the Sales and Service Enablement division. Develop tactical and strategic delivery plans to align administration, service and support the sales channels outcomes, formulate associated practice/s and to ensure operational effectiveness through implementation and adaption i.t.o. operations management methodology, governance, and delivery objectives.
Functional management:
- Set and execute in alignment with the group risk operations strategy, plan the resource and finance requirements for the group risk operations area, negotiate and secure its allocation and ensure delivery based on the agreed business targets.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of operational activities and innovating operating model. Your strong active change management capability and people change will serve you well in this role.
Change and programme management:
- Cultivate ideation and implementation of change programmes aimed at driving business strategy and improving group operational efficiency as well as people change initiatives evidenced through strong business case development.
Business Risk and Compliance Management:
- Ensure the implementation of, and conformance to, Group Risk, regulatory and Compliance requirements within the group operating environment, assess and give input into formulation of risk appetite.
Stakeholder Management:
- Actively promote and manage the collaborative engagement of internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, service providers, business partners and other Absa entities
People Management:
- A strong emphasis on Coach, mentor and manage team members toward driving business objectives and ensuring colleague development and succession planning is ongoing. Your ability to lead leaders and create self-sustaining teams will hold you in good stead towards our people and purpose values.
Governance:
- Ensure the fulfilment of all required governance activities, including tracking and reporting on the group risk administration portfolio, operations performance including monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc executive reporting
Education
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
