About the project

This is part of the largest urban regeneration projects in Europe and the largest regeneration investment in Greece, which includes luxury and high-rise residential buildings, arts, culture, hospitality, retail and modern commercial offices space. The project will substantially contribute to the repositioning of Athens as a world-class luxury destination. It also comprises an integrated urban development model that will combine the area’s natural beauty and unique inherent characteristics with landmark buildings and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Key duties of the role include:

Cost and Commercial Management:
  • Preparation of budget estimates
  • Assistance to Project Commercial teams in supporting individual project cost planning activities.
  • Monitoring and recording commitments vs budget.
  • Provides support and assistance to the Project Commercial Manager on day-to-day commercial activities as delegated.
  • Establish and manage database to provide cost allocation by asset for the project in support of Lamda finance requirements.
  • Production of asset / elemental cost allocation for contract and additional works up to and including final account.
  • Production of asset / elemental cost allocation for monthly payment applications.
  • Production of monthly payment applications.
  • Production of monthly payment recommendations for the project.
  • Assists with production of monthly cost reports including Earned Value Analysis.
  • Monitors and reports on project financial performance and ensures relevant risks and opportunities are reflected in project estimates.
  • Quantifies, values, and supports Commercial Manager to adjudicate claims/variation orders for additional cost.
  • Assists with cost management functions as directed by the Commercial Manager contributing to the process of cost planning and estimation, change management, monthly / weekly cost reporting, payment review and certification etc.
  • Quantifies values and supports Commercial Director to adjudicate claims/variation orders for additional costs received from subcontractors/suppliers/vendors.
  • Tracks bonds and insurance requirements for the project including close-out activities.
  • Contributes to evaluating Changes and their impact on project / programme.
GMP Contractor Procurement
  • Reviewing Contractor sub-contract/supplier “open book” procurement submissions for completeness and correctness.
  • Completing arithmetical checks on tenders returned and checking comparison report to the budgets set.
  • Assisting with the finalization of the PMC approval recommendations put forward to the Employer for formal sign off
Here’s What You’ll Need:

Skills and Experience
  • Experience in Cost Management and Post Contract Commercial Administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel and Word) and cost estimation software
  • Experience in cost management platforms such as Prism is preferable but not essential
  • Ability to Work as part of a team.
Education and Certifications
  • BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying required.
  • 3-5 years post-graduation experience
